A South Dallas Landmark Steps into Its Next Chapter

Linbeck is proud to serve as General Contractor on the restoration of the historic Forest Theater — a $75 million effort led by nonprofit Forest Forward to revive one of Dallas’ most beloved cultural destinations. Built in 1949 during segregation and later transformed into a thriving Black-serving entertainment hub, the theater is now being reimagined as a multi-purpose arts and entertainment community hub, bringing together live music, film, storytelling, and gathering spaces all under one roof.
